While I'm working on my Etsy bead embroidery challenge, Filigree, my mind is already wandering to the time in May when we'll be leaving for our boat, Chip's Ahoy. And my thought's wander even further to some of the last critter's I saw last summer. So I'd like to share with you a photo of our boat and the four onery sea otter's playing on our dock while visiting Sidney, Vancouver Island, B.C. On our way back to our marina, just before we entered USA waters, a grey whale breached in the water. I was so excited at the beautiful sight! And the only pic I got was the water splashing! I was SO disappointed!

My second challenge "Filigree" with EBEG is progressing nicely. I've decided my bead embroidery bib necklace is going to be a bridal statement piece incorporating the sterling silver stampings and filigree beads. Our deadline is March 31st. Here is just a peek of things to come:
Take a look at this!! Do you want to win a set of boro lampwork beads???  Can you guess which block image is mine? How about guessing which block belongs to which beadwork artist member of EBEG? Could you do this? Could you win some new lampwork beads? YES YOU CAN! Go to our guild blog and get started today! To get started and learn more, please go to:  http://www.ebeguild.blogspot.com

Our puppy, Lulu, is growing like a weed! Her progress report is she'll be 6 months on the 23rd of February, and she's nearly 60 pounds. Lulu's vet predicts she'll weigh between 100-110 lbs. when full grown. So Lulu is no longer a lap puppy (so sad), but we try pulling her upon our laps just the same. He's her daddy John getting some loving. So funny!

My youngest granddaughter, Bristolyn, is truly going to be an artist like her daddy and grandma. She spends much of her day drawing at age 2! I love it! She recently came over to visit and while the rest of us were making jewelry, Bristol (aka Miss B) was drawing. That's my girl! - Sorry if a little blurry, she moves around alot. ha! Oh my, she discovered Nana's scissors. - Nana loves Bristolyn!!!!

Our second EBEG (Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild) challenge theme is Filigree. I'm presently working on my beadwork, but I'll give you taste by showing my sterling silver plated metal stampings and filigree beads that I'm using.
Hello there! Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. I kept getting an error message. I finally figured it out! I have to log in using internet explorer and not directly. Dah! Who would of known?!? Well, I'll try to bring this up-to-date briefly.

Our first challenge theme for my Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild was "Winter Wonderland", and I finished late, but I'm so happy that I did finish. I didn't think about it at the time but this necklace would make a beautiful winter wedding statement bib necklace too. It's SO pretty. And I hope you like it too. The title is "Snow Angel".

The Legend of the Snow Angel

With the first fallen snow,
the snow Angel's arrive.
Down on a cloud, they will glide.
Their gentle touch in the fluffy snow
leaves an impression, so all will know.
Touched by an Angel is the snow.
